{"revision":"c10276e953456835cdbb1f3a60d58ae1980be353","document":{"id":342,"path":"api-reference/developer-guides/mobsdk-ios-add-push-app.md","title":"Add a push application record","bundle":null,"doc_type":null,"release":"australia","body":"\n# Add a push application record\n\nYou must create a push application record and enter your Apple Push Notification certificate in that record to use push notifications in a Mobile SDK application that leverages Virtual Agent and push notifications.\n\n## Before you begin\n\nRole required: admin\n\nThis record is stored in the Push Application \\[sys\\_push\\_application\\] table.\n\n## Procedure\n\n1.  Navigate to **System Notification** > **Push** > **Push Application**.\n\n2.  Select **New** to add a new record.\n\n3.  In the **Display Name** and **Name** fields, enter the name of your application.\n\n4.  In the **Push** field, change the value from **REST API** to **Direct**.\n\n5.  In the **iOS** tab, select the search icon to the left of the **Certificate** field and select the certificate that you created.\n\n6.  Select **Submit**.\n\n\n"}}
