{"revision":"c10276e953456835cdbb1f3a60d58ae1980be353","document":{"id":343,"path":"api-reference/developer-guides/mobsdk-ios-add-push-msg-content.md","title":"Add a push notification message content record","bundle":null,"doc_type":null,"release":"australia","body":"\n# Add a push notification message content record\n\nThe push notification message content record contains the location users are directed to when they tap on a notification, as well as the appearance and layout of the notification.\n\n## Before you begin\n\nRole required: admin\n\nComplete the Push Notification Message Content form to:\n\n-   Name the notification.\n-   Select the mobile application to which the notification is sent.\n-   Optionally, customize the appearance of the notification message.\n\nThis information is saved in the Push Notification Message Contents \\[sys\\_push\\_notif\\_msg\\_content\\] table.\n\n## Procedure\n\n1.  Navigate to **System Notification** &gt; **Push** &gt; **Push Message Content**.\n\n2.  Select **New**.\n\n3.  In the Push Message Content form, fill in the following fields:\n\n<table id=\"table_fbr_1vm_5pb\"><thead><tr><th>\n\nField\n\n</th><th>\n\nDescription\n\n</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>\n\nName\n\n</td><td>\n\nDescriptive name of the push message content record.**Note:** This name is not visible in the notification, it is only a reference for use during configuration.\n\n</td></tr><tr><td>\n\nPush app\n\n</td><td>\n\nMobile application to send the notification to. This is the application that you added in \"Add a push application record\".\n\n</td></tr><tr><td>\n\nPush Message Generation\n\n</td><td>\n\nScript block that contains the notification link.
