You can use pre-existing extension points available in selected ServiceNow AI Platform applications, or you can add extension points when you develop custom applications in your own instance.\n\nThis API is available in the base ServiceNow instance.\n\nFor more information on extension points, see [Using extension points to extend application functionality](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/api-reference/web-services/extension-points.md).\n\n**Parent Topic:**[Server API reference](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/api-reference/server-api-reference/api-server.md)\n\n## GlideScriptedExtensionPoint - getExtensions\\(String name\\)\n\nReturns the extension instances associated with a specified extension point.\n\nThese extension instances are persisted in the Extension Instance \\[sys\\_extension\\_instance\\] table. For more information on extension points, see [Using extension points to extend application functionality](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/api-reference/web-services/extension-points.md).\n\n**Note:** The script include instances returned by the getExtensions\\(\\) method are uninitialized. If your interface includes an initialize method, call that method before calling other methods on the returned instance. For example:\n\n```\nvar eps = new GlideScriptedExtensionPoint().getExtensions(\"RelatedListItemCandidateFilter\");\n for (var i = 0; i < eps.length; i++) {    \n   eps[i].initialize(tableName, parentFieldName, parentRecordSysId, referencedFieldName);\n   eps[i].getFilterQuery();\n }\n```\n\n<table id=\"table_tkf_cgt_x5b\" class=\"parameters\"><thead><tr><th>\n\nName\n\n</th><th>\n\nType\n\n</th><th>\n\nDescription\n\n</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>\n\nname\n\n</td><td>\n\nString\n\n</td><td>\n\nName of the extension point for which to return the extension instances.Table: Extension Instance \\[sys\\_extension\\_instance\\]\n\n</td></tr></tbody>\n</table>|Type|Description|\n|----|-----------|\n|Array of Objects|Extension instances associated with the specified endpoint.|\n\nThe following code example returns the extension instances for the RelatedListItemCandidateFilter extension point. The \"class\" listed for each instance represents a script include.\n\n```\nvar eps = new GlideScriptedExtensionPoint().getExtensions(\"RelatedListItemCandidateFilter\");\n```\n\nResponse:\n\n```\nglobal.RelatedListItemCandidateFilter RelatedListItemCandidateFilter\nglobal.RelatedListItemCandidateFilter ProblemRelatedListChangeRequestItemFilter\nglobal.RelatedListItemCandidateFilter RelatedListConfigItemFilter\nglobal.RelatedListItemCandidateFilter RelatedListItemCandidateFilterForAgileDevelopment\nglobal.RelatedListItemCandidateFilter ProblemRelatedListIncidentItemFilter\nglobal.RelatedListItemCandidateFilter RelatedListIncidentItemCandidateFilter\nglobal.RelatedListItemCandidateFilter RelatedListCIItemCandidateFilter\n```\n\n"}}
