You can dynamically add and configure fields for the record.\n\n## Roles and availability\n\nAvailable as an Workflow Studio action step. Users with the action\\_designer role can create a custom action with one or more action steps.\n\n## Inputs\n\nProvide a value for each input that your flow needs. To add dynamic values, you can also drag and drop pills from the Data panel or select them from the pill picker.\n\n-   **Table**\n\n    Data type: **Table Name**\n\n    Table in which to create record.\n\n-   **Fields**\n\n    Data type: **Template Values**\n\n    Field values to set for the record. For example, to set the short description to a certain value, select **Short description** and set the desired value.\n\n    To learn about creating template value input, see [Create a template value input]().\n\n    **Important:** The system does not support updating multiple journal fields such as the additional comments or work notes of a task record.\n\n\n## Outputs\n\nThese outputs appear in the Data panel. You can use them as inputs elsewhere in your flow.\n\n-   **Table**\n\n    Data type: **Table Name**\n\n    Table where record was created.\n\n-   **Record**\n\n    Data type: **Record**\n\n    Reference to record created.\n\n\n## Action error evaluation\n\n-   **If this step fails**\n\n    Data type: **Choice**\n\n    Option to continue running the next step or go to error evaluation.
