{"revision":"c10276e953456835cdbb1f3a60d58ae1980be353","document":{"id":18273,"path":"governance-risk-compliance/setup-bcm-approval-configurator.md","title":"Set up approval configuration","bundle":null,"doc_type":null,"release":"australia","body":"\n# Set up approval configuration\n\nSet up approval configuration to enable multiple levels of approvals and select approvers for each level based on approval rules.\n\n## Before you begin\n\nYou must install GRC: Approver Configurator \\(sn\\_grc\\_appr\\) application for approval configurations.\n\nRole required: sn\\_bcm.admin\n\n**Note:** Granting this role to a user is equivalent to giving the user the admin role, because workflow script activities bypass access controls and grant access to all tables and database operations. Script activities do not bypass application scope settings.\n\n## Procedure\n\n1.  Navigate to **All** &gt; **Assignment and Approval Configurations** &gt; **Approval Configurations**.\n\n2.  Click **New**.\n\n3.  On the form, fill in the fields.\n\n<table id=\"table_oyj_52z_hrb\"><thead><tr><th>\n\nField\n\n</th><th>\n\nDescription\n\n</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>\n\nName\n\n</td><td>\n\nName of the approval configuration.\n\n</td></tr><tr><td>\n\nApplies to\n\n</td><td>\n\nTable such as a business impact analysis, business continuity plan, events, or any table from which a record is submitted for approval.\n\n</td></tr><tr><td>\n\nPriority\n\n</td><td>\n\nPreference of approval configuration with higher priority.\n\n</td></tr><tr><td>\n\nFilter condition\n\n</td><td>\n\nCondition applied on the table with reference to the **Applies to** field.The approval configuration with higher priority that matches the filter condition for the business document is selected for approver evaluation.\n\n</td></tr><tr><td>\n\nActive\n\n</td><td>\n\nOption to enable the approval configuration as active.\n\n</td></tr></tbody>\n</table>    **Note:** You cannot have more than one approval configuration applying to the table with the same priority.\n\n4.
