{"revision":"c10276e953456835cdbb1f3a60d58ae1980be353","document":{"id":18340,"path":"governance-risk-compliance/smart-assessment-engine/sae-asmnt-trigger-from-script.md","title":"Trigger assessments from a script","bundle":null,"doc_type":null,"release":"australia","body":"\n# Trigger assessments from a script\n\nUse a script to execute the Trigger Smart Assessment flow action to generate Smart Assessment Engine assessments and assign them to the assessors.\n\n## Before you begin\n\nRole required: flow\\_designer\n\n## About this task\n\nIn the script, you specify the assessment template for the generated assessments and the conditions that trigger the assessments.\n\n## Procedure\n\n1.  Navigate to **All** > **Process Automation** > **Workflow Studio**.\n\n2.  On the **Actions** tab, select **Trigger Smart Assessment**.\n\n3.  In the More actions menu icon \\[Omitted image \"more-actions-menu.png\"\\] Alt text:,select **Create code snippet**, and then copy and paste the snippet into your script.\n\n\n## Result\n\n**Note:** In the snippet, you have the option to specify whether the action should execute synchronously or asynchronously. Select the asynchronous option to help avoid stalling, especially when processing large templates.\n\nThe call to the Trigger Smart Assessment action is now part of the script.\n\n## What to do next\n\nSpecify the required and optional input settings for the action.
