This insight trigger activates the associated insight rule to run.\n\n## Before you begin\n\nThis task must be performed in the classic environment.\n\nCreate an insight rule. For more information, see [Create an insight rule](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/integrate-applications/automation-center/create-insight-rule.md).\n\nRole required: sn\\_ac.automation\\_technical\\_user or sn\\_ac.automation\\_admin\n\n## About this task\n\nWhen an insight rule is processed, it generates an insight. Insights appear on the Insights widget in the Executions dashboard of Automation Center Workspace.\n\nAn insight trigger activates the associated insight rule to run.\n\nAn insight rule does not run unless it is mapped to an insight trigger.\n\n## Procedure\n\n1.  Navigate to **All** &gt; **Automation Center** &gt; **Administration** &gt; **Insight Rules**.\n\n2.  Open the insight rule that you want to create and associate an insight trigger to.\n\n3.  On the **Automation Insight Triggers** tab, select **New**.\n\n4.  Select **Map to an existing business rule**.\n\n5.
