{"revision":"c10276e953456835cdbb1f3a60d58ae1980be353","document":{"id":21578,"path":"integrate-applications/integration-hub/setup-smartrecruiters.md","title":"Set up the SmartRecruiters spoke","bundle":null,"doc_type":null,"release":"australia","body":"\n# Set up the SmartRecruiters spoke\n\nIntegrate the ServiceNow instance and SmartRecruiters by using API credentials to authenticate ServiceNow requests.\n\n## Before you begin\n\n-   Request an Integration Hub subscription.\n-   Activate the SmartRecruiters spoke.\n-   SmartRecruiters role required: admin.\n-   Role required: admin.\n\n## Generate a SmartRecruiters API key\n\nGenerate an API key for authenticating SmartRecruiters API requests.\n\n### Before you begin\n\nRole required: SmartRecruiters admin\n\n### Procedure\n\n1.  From a web browser, open [SmartRecruiters](https://www.smartrecruiters.com/).\n\n2.  Sign in using your admin credentials.\n\n    The Administrator's view of the SmartRecruiters portal opens.\n\n3.  On the page header of the SmartRecruiters portal, click your profile icon and then select **Settings/Admin**.\n\n    Your SmartRecruiter settings open.\n\n4.  Under Company Settings, locate the Administration section and then select **Apps & Integrations**.\n\n    The Apps & Integrations page opens.\n\n5.  Select the **CREDENTIALS** tab and then click **NEW CREDENTIAL**.\n\n6.  When prompted to select the type of credential that you want to generate for your applications, select **API key**.\n\n7.  Click **Next**.\n\n8.  Enter a name for your API key in the **Credentials name** field.\n\n9.  Enter a description for your API key in the **Description** field.\n\n10. Click **Generate**.\n\n    SmartRecruiters automatically generates and displays your API key.\n\n11. Copy your API key and save it in a secure location for later use.\n\n\n## Create a SmartRecruiters connection\n\nCreate a connection between your SmartRecruiters applications and your ServiceNow instance so that your instance can retrieve user data from your applications.\n\n### Before you begin\n\nRole required: admin\n\n### Procedure\n\n1.  From your ServiceNow instance, navigate to **Process Automation** > **Flow Designer**.\n\n    The Flow Designer launches in a new tab.\n\n2.  Select the **Connections** tab.\n\n3.  Locate your SmartRecruiters connection and then click **Add Connection**.\n\n    The Create Connection dialog box opens.\n\n4.  On the dialog box, fill in the fields.\n\n    |Field|Description|\n    |-----|-----------|\n    |Connection Information|\n    |Connection Name|Name of the SmartRecruiters connection. This field populates automatically.|\n    |Connection URL|URL for the connection. This field is automatically set to **https://api.smartrecruiters.com**.|\n    |Credential Information|\n    |API Key|API key for your SmartRecruiters applications. Enter the same API key that you generated in [Generate a SmartRecruiters API key](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/integrate-applications/integration-hub/setup-smartrecruiters.md).|\n\n5.  Click **Create Connection**.\n\n\n"}}
