{"revision":"c10276e953456835cdbb1f3a60d58ae1980be353","document":{"id":24341,"path":"intelligent-experiences/predictive-intelligence/predictive-intel-minimum-records-needed-label.md","title":"Minimum records needed for label to include it","bundle":null,"doc_type":null,"release":"australia","body":"\n# Minimum records needed for label to include it\n\nSet a threshold for the minimum number of records a label must have in your dataset to be included in model training.\n\n## Before you begin\n\nVerify that your dataset includes label values suitable for classification.\n\nRole required: ml\\_admin or admin\n\n## About this task\n\nThis advanced option helps to eliminate labels that occur infrequently. Setting this minimum threshold can reduce overfitting and unreliable predictions.\n\nTo configure, you provide a number for a minimum count of records. Any class value with fewer records than the minimum is dropped from the training set. Class values that are dropped before training can't appear in predictions.\n\nTo add this option using a script:\n\n```\nconfig.setMinLabelCount(50);\n```\n\nIn JSON format:\n\n```\n{\n    \"min_label_count\": 50\n    }\n```\n\n## Procedure\n\n1.  To add this option in the solution definition form, navigate to **All** > **Predictive Intelligence** > **Classification** > **Solution Definitions**.\n\n2.  Open an existing classification solution or create a new one.\n\n3.  Select the **Advanced Solution Settings** tab in the **Related Links** section of the form.\n\n4.  Select **New** to open the **Advanced Solution Setting** \\(ml\\_advanced\\_solution\\_settings\\) form.\n\n5.  In the **Solution Parameters** field, search for `minimum records needed for label to include it`.\n\n6.
