{"revision":"c10276e953456835cdbb1f3a60d58ae1980be353","document":{"id":29076,"path":"it-operations-management/cloud-configuration-governance/add-resource-op-step-subflow.md","title":"Add a resource operation step to invoke a subflow","bundle":null,"doc_type":null,"release":"australia","body":"\n# Add a resource operation step to invoke a subflow\n\nInvoke a subflow by adding an operation step to a resource and linking it to a new or existing subflow.\n\n## Before you begin\n\nMake sure the Orchestration application is installed.\n\nRole required: Cloud user, designer, or admin\n\n## Procedure\n\n1.  In the Cloud Admin Portal, navigate to **Design** > **Resource Blocks**.\n\n2.  Set the resource block to **Draft** state by toggling the publish and then select **Operations** > **Steps** > **Add Step**.\n\n    The Add Operation Steps form appears.\n\n3.  From the **Operation Type** list, select **Invoke Flow**.\n\n4.  From the **Content Type** list, select **Subflow**.\n\n    **Note:** You cannot invoke flows while adding a resource operation step. This is a known limitation.\n\n5.  Select an active subflow from the **Flow/Subflow** lookup list.\n\n6.  Specify a condition in the **Condition** field.\n\n7.  Select **Submit**.\n\n    The subflow operation step is attached to the resource block and appears on the page. Any input parameters associated with the subflow you selected are auto-populated on the **Input** tab.\n\n8.  In the **Inputs** subtab, select the \\[Omitted image \"add-button.png\"\\] Alt text: Add step parameter icon to add a new step parameter.\n\n    1.  Add the following key value pair to the subflow.\n\n        |Key|Value|\n        |---|-----|\n        |`flowcorrelationid`|`$(Script:CMPFlowStepHandler.generateCorrelationId)`|\n\n9.  Select the **Response Processor** tab and then select the plus icon.\n\n    The Add Response Processor dialog box appears.\n\n10. In the **Script Name** list, select a script for the response processor.\n\n    For a script to appear in the **Script Name** list, the script should already have been created in the **Resource Script** tab. Select **Submit**.\n\n12.
