{"revision":"c10276e953456835cdbb1f3a60d58ae1980be353","document":{"id":31856,"path":"it-service-management/change-management/t_CreateNewACL.md","title":"Create an ACL","bundle":null,"doc_type":null,"release":"australia","body":"\n# Create an ACL\n\nCreate an access control rule \\(ACL\\) to avoid the **Needs review** field from being modified after it has been set.\n\n## Before you begin\n\nRole required: admin with elevated security\n\n## About this task\n\nThe newly created UI Policy makes the **Needs review** field mandatory when a change request reaches the **Complete** state.\n\nThe subsequent configuration of the state model ensures that a value is required in the **Needs review** field before the change request can be saved in the **Complete** state. To avoid the **Needs review** value from being changed after it has been set, create access control level record \\(ACL\\) to make the field read-only.\n\n## Procedure\n\n1.  Open the **Change Request** form.\n\n2.  Open the form context menu and select **Configure** > **Security Rules**.\n\n3.  Elevate your security role in the user menu that opens when you select your name in the header.\n\n    Only administrators with elevated security roles can add ACLs.\n\n4.  Select **New**.\n\n5.  Enter the following values.\n\n    |Field|Value|\n    |-----|-----|\n    |Type|Record|\n    |Operation|Write|\n    |Name \\(first part\\)|Change Request|\n    |Name \\(second part\\)|Needs review|\n    |Condition|\\[State\\] \\[is\\] \\[Implement\\]|\n\n    \\[Omitted image \"NewStateTutNewACL1.png\"\\] Alt text: New change request ACL\n\n6.
