The document type determines the page that a list of documents points to.\n\n## Before you begin\n\nRole required: content\\_admin or admin\n\n## About this task\n\nThe block works with content types in the **Default detail page** field. For more information, see [Configure a content type](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/platform-user-interface/content-management-system/t_CreateAContentType.md).\n\nIf you plan to use a script to find a document, configure the form to add the **Script** field if it is not displayed.\n\n## Procedure\n\n1.  Navigate to **All** &gt; **Content Management** &gt; **Configuration** &gt; **Page Detail Settings**.\n\n2.  Click **New**.\n\n3. If the block **Type** is **Show the page's current document**, the category displays content from any link of the same type.\n\n</td></tr><tr><td>\n\nFrame\n\n</td><td>\n\nSelect a border styling for the detailed content block. For more information, see [Format a frame](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/platform-user-interface/content-management-system/t_Frame.md).\n\n</td></tr><tr><td>\n\nModel Document\n\n</td><td>\n\nSelect the document to display by default.\n\n</td></tr><tr><td>\n\nActive\n\n</td><td>\n\nSelect this check box to make the block available for use.\n\n</td></tr><tr><td>\n\nType\n\n</td><td>\n\nSelect the behavior for the block.-   **Show a Specific Document**: Displays the **Model Document**.\n-   **Show the page's current document**: Displays the currently selected document.\n-   **Use a script to find a document**: Uses the **Script** field to select a particular document.\n\n\n</td></tr><tr><td>\n\nConditional\n\n</td><td>\n\nSelect the check box and enter any scripted conditions to be applied. Selecting this check box adds a **Condition** script field and **Logged on** check box to the form.\n\n</td></tr><tr><td>\n\nScript\n\n</td><td>\n\nEnter a script to find an appropriate document if the **Type** is set to **Use a script to find a document**. Set the **Return** to the GlideRecord of the desired document.\n\n</td></tr></tbody>\n</table>4.
