{"revision":"c10276e953456835cdbb1f3a60d58ae1980be353","document":{"id":51206,"path":"telecom-network-inventory/telecommunications-network-inventory/allocate-phone-number.md","title":"Allocate phone number","bundle":null,"doc_type":null,"release":"australia","body":"\n# Allocate phone number\n\nThe phone number allocation change model enables you to design and assign the required telephone number from a pool or standalone telephone number format.\n\n## Before you begin\n\nRole required:sn\\_inv\\_num\\_mgmt\\_telephone\\_number, sn\\_ni\\_core.inventory\\_agent\n\n## Procedure\n\n1.  Navigate to **Workspaces** > **Network Inventory Workspace**.\n\n2.  Select the list icon \\(\\[Omitted image \"ni-workspace-list-icon.png\"\\] Alt text: List icon.\\), and then go to **Changes** > **All**.\n\n3.  Select the **New** button.\n\n4.  Select **Phone Number Allocation** > **Next**.\n\n5.  On the record producer form, update the fields.\n\n    The fields of the record producer form are auto-populated. Select **Save**.\n\n    The Change \\(Design & Assign\\) flow is triggered and a change request is created. Depending on the given inputs, change tasks are automatically created and other related tabs appear. Open and review the change task records.\n\n8.  On the Task Attributes form, fill in the fields.\n\n    For a description of the field values, see [Change request and change task forms](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ServiceNow/ServiceNowDocs/australia/markdown/australia/telecom-network-inventory/telecommunications-network-inventory/change_request_forms.md).\n\n9.  Select **Submit**.\n\n    The **Details** tab is updated.\n\n10. On the **Affected CIs** related tab, see all the configuration items that are impacted due to this change task.\n\n11.
