Use the Mobile Custom Localization app, available from mobile client version 20.6, to let mobile users view app content in any language. This feature improves platform consistency and accessibility for global users. The ServiceNow Store app provides a collection of mobile strings that automatically populates the instance with translatable content required for localization. Once these strings are translated into a custom language, the mobile app automatically retrieves and displays them within the app interface.

Use the improved error handling in the upload manager to confirm that the necessary files are uploaded successfully. This feature is available in all areas of the ServiceNow mobile applications where you can upload attachments. This includes the following:

- Activity stream
- Input form screen with an attachment input type
- Input form screen with an attachment input action
- Functions of type attachment
- Cabrillo JS events within a web page

Enable users to save and retrieve pictures and videos taken with the camera on their ServiceNow mobile app, directly to their device. By default, these images are saved for 24 hours on the phone’s local storage. You can set the storage time to be from 1 to 168 hours (1 week).

Add cards created in the Mobile Card Builder as a descriptive element in input form screens. Descriptive elements offer more context to users, making it clearer as to what is required for certain inputs within an input form screen.

Display a page menu button for input form screens with more than two pages, showing users the current page that they are on, such as “Page 3 of 5.” Tapping the button opens a page menu that lists all available pages and their level of completeness. This list helps users track their progress in completing an input form.

Work on all pages of an input form screen, even if required fields are not completed. Users can use the next and previous buttons at all times, enabling them to complete the form in a non-sequential manner. In addition, users can use the page menu to work on any page of their choosing.

View an information icon in the top menu bar in cases where a submitted input form contains at least one error. The icon remains accessible when working through all input form screen pages. Tapping the icon opens a page that lists the validation errors, enabling users to correct these errors and submit an error-free input form.

Configure sliders as an additional method for users to add numeric values in an input form screen. Sliders offer the advantage of defining minimum, maximum, incremental, and default values.

Use new icons that have been added to the following font families in your mobile apps:

- Actions font icons
- Screen font icons
- Mobile card font icons
- Image icons

Develop and modify mobile applications and cards in ServiceNow Studio. Utilize all your necessary tools within a single, cohesive development environment.

The following features have been added to ServiceNow Now Assist in Virtual Agent:

- Upload documents and files with Doc QnA to have Now Assist generate summaries or answer questions about them.
- Search the internet from within Virtual Agent using web search mode.
- Capture and analyze data from a variety of visual sources such as images, emails, handwritten notes, websites, and applications using ServiceNow AI Lens.
- View shared files when using people citations.

Create and use custom Now Assist skills in your mobile app using Now Assist Skill Kit.

Use the following enhancements added to the mobile offline capability:

- Use the seamless online-to-offline continuity, by enabling users to start a form online, save it, and then proceed offline. While offline, users can continue viewing and editing the same data, including attachments, comments, and navigation, for uninterrupted productivity in low or no-connectivity environments. All changes automatically sync after your connection is restored.
- Save or submit forms offline, and reopen them later while still offline with all data fully restored.
- Support of offline capabilities for descriptive elements in input forms.
- Support of offline capabilities for input actions in input forms.
- Improved outbox efficiency for input forms by continually combining saved and submitted data.

Assign the new mobile_admin role to administrators who configure mobile applications, granting them precisely the permissions needed to complete their tasks. This new role helps reduce reliance on the broader admin role for controlled, secure access of your ServiceNow® account.

Enable multiple users to securely log into a ServiceNow single account from shared mobile devices. This feature is beneficial in environments where devices are not personal, as it offers secure and personalized access through user-configured PINs, eliminating the need for repetitive full authentications.

Note: From the Australia version and above, the terms instance and instances have been renamed as account and accounts on mobile devices. Accounts are a reflection of platform instances on a mobile device and work in the same way, only the terminology has changed.

Configure a new property to define the PIN timeout for different ServiceNow mobile apps. This configuration helps reinforce security by controlling how long users can remain inactive before being required to reenter their PIN.

Use the script screen field in record screens to display dynamic field values. For example, you can display translated content for dynamic variables within an email.

Speak with an AI-powered voice assistant on your mobile device for real-time support. Follow along with live conversation transcripts that can also be saved or shared after the call.

Configure push notifications to be sent to users even when they’re logged out so critical updates aren’t missed.

Enable Voice Agent in SDK-based mobile applications by configuring the External Applications section within the Voice Assistant configuration. Admins with an SDK app configured on the instance can select and save a custom app to activate Voice Agent for that SDK application.

Premium Chat opens a web-based chat experience within your mobile app, ensuring that every feature configured for the web is accessible on your mobile device.

Enable users to switch between multiple mobile app experiences, also known as mobile app configs, in the Settings page. The mobile experience switcher allows users to select multiple app experiences that match the users roles and permissions.

From client version 22.2, the Settings menu displays only one language option. Selecting it directs users to the Account Language page instead of presenting multiple language choices.

Add a logo image instead of a text title to a launcher screen’s top navigation bar to match your organization’s branding.
